Join us on this trip of a lifetime to discover the splendours of India. With visits to iconic sites like the Taj Mahal and the magical city of Udaipur, we will experience the very best of this fascinating country on this 11-night guided group holiday. Along our journey, we’ll explore ancient palaces and monuments, proud fortresses, mosques and bustling cities. Take a rickshaw ride through Old Delhi’s busy streets, and awaken your senses with a kaleidoscope of colour and sound in its buzzing markets. In Agra, we will gaze in wonder at the most famous monument to love, the Taj Mahal. We’ll also visit the Amber Fort in the Pink City of Jaipur and, of course, you’ll have plenty of time at leisure to discover India at your own pace. For tours departing 07th March 2025 we can enjoy the colourful festivities of the vibrant Hindu Festival of Holi which celebrates spring, love, and good will.
Please Note:
In order to preserve the beauty and integrity of the iconic monument, the Taj Mahal, cleaning and restoration work is ongoing at this site. Some phases of the restoration involve scaffolding and mud treatment, thus a clear view of the entire monument may not always be possible.

- 10 nights accommodation in India and 1 or 2 overnight flights.
- For departures from Dublin and Glasgow, outbound and return flights will be via Doha or Dubai depending on your chosen date.
- Please note 2025 itinerary varies with two new excursions including afternoon tea overlooking the Taj Mahal, and Safari in the countryside including a Shikar dinner in Chanwa.

Will there be a guide to meet us when we arrive at our destination?
You will be met on arrival at your destination airport and transferred to your accommodation. You will be accompanied on all included excursions by your Travel Department guide.

What documents will I receive before I travel?
Travel documents (tickets and Itinerary) will be provided to you approximately 10 days prior to your departure.

Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, all passengers must have travel insurance for Travel Department holidays. We would suggest you pay special attention to any exclusion clauses and excess on your insurance policy to ensure you are happy with your cover. It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate insurance for the holiday you are booking.

We don't charge a cancellation fee, here is a summary of barrhead travel charges.
Up to 98 days before tour starts: Forfeit 100% of deposit.
At 97 days before tour starts: Forfeit 50% of booking price.
At 74 days before tour starts: Forfeit 75% of booking price.
At 28 days before tour starts: Forfeit 100% of booking price.
