Day 3 Davos & Klosters
Location: Davos & Klosters
Nestled between the mountains, we spend time in our charming resort town of Davos this morning. Take advantage of the included Davos Card which offers free public transport and discounted tickets for local attractions.
In the afternoon, we visit the nearby town of Klosters, made famous as the favoured skiing resort of the Royal Family.
Day 4 Free Time Or Bernina Regional Railway
Location: Free Time or Bernina Regional Railway
Enjoy some more free time in Davos today to explore at leisure, or join our optional excursion on the Bernina Regional Railway.
We will board the Bernina Regional Railway and cross one of the highest railroad lines in the Alps. As we approach the Swiss/Italian border, we travel over the Brusio spiral viaduct, an amazing feat of engineering that allows the train to gradually descend 20 metres in a relatively short distance.
We arrive in Tirano, a quaint Italian town, before returning to our hotel.
Day 5 Glacier Express
Location: Glacier Express
We depart Davos today and continue our journey to the Lake Geneva region. As a special treat, we make some of the journey by train, enjoying the amazing views of the Glacier Express route.
We travel to Chur and ride the ‘Slowest Express Train in the World’ as we climb through unforgettable scenery to the summit of the Oberalp Massif, before arriving in Andermatt.
We continue our journey by coach to our hotel near Lake Geneva for a three-night stay.
Day 6 Golden Pass Railway & Glacier 3000
Location: Golden Pass Railway & Glacier 3000
We start our day making the short journey to Montreux on the banks of Lake Geneva, where we board the Golden Pass Railway for our journey to Gstaad.
Enjoy the stunning scenery as we climb into the Swiss Alps, arriving in Gstaad where we will have some time for lunch.
On the return to our hotel, we visit Glacier 3000, where we can enjoy wonderful views of the Swiss Alps. Climb the mountain by cable car and have the opportunity to experience the Peak Walk Suspension Bridge and the Glacier Walk or just enjoy the panoramic views (weather permitting!).
Day 7 Lake Geneva & Montreux
Location: Lake Geneva & Montreux
We return to lower ground today and enjoy a day around Lake Geneva. We visit the historic lakeside city of Geneva where you can explore the main sights including the Jet d’Eau Fountain and St Pierre Cathedral, before continuing to Montreux for time at leisure. During the day we will experience a scenic cruise on the lake.
